Puss in Boots 3D

Ok, first film ive seen in 2012 has been Puss in Boots 3D and here is my review.

I love the first Shrek film and the 2nd one was okay but they started to bore me a little with the specials for christmas and halloween and the last one they made but that is my opinion. They have obviously done well to make so much off it.

Everyone fell in love with Puss in Shrek when he did those big eyes. Everyone in the cinema went 'Awwwhhh', exactly the same as they did with this film when he did it about 3 times i think.

The film, based around the Jack and the Beanstalk tale, is a bit naff to be honest. I think it was a compilation of jokes they couldnt fit in during the Shrek films, that arnt really that funny. Either i'm getting old or the fluffy ginger cat is.

Starring the voices of Antonio Banderas (obviously), Salma Hayek, Billy Bob Thornton and Zak Galifianakis, i feel the last two were just to add extra celebrity status to get people to watch it. We all know Zak Galifianakis as the funny guy out of Hangover 1 and 2 and also in Due Date with Robert Downey Jnr. No doubt he is funny and has made me laugh but i think that has something to do with the way he acts and LOOKS not really sounds. His voice isnt a very recognisable voice worth using as a character in an animated film.

I was dissapointed with the story basically being a twist on Jack and the Beanstalk, containing a bit of spanish stand off dancing, humpty dumpty trying to be funny and a bit of a love/hate relationship bewteen a cat, another cat and an egg. I found the 'OOOOOOH' cat the best bit in the whole film.

I think there was one thing i noticed in the 3D aswell, i dont even remember what it was it was so slight. Just trying to rob more money off the public that go and see this film.

I wouldnt pay to go and see this film and nor will i watch it again. If you MUST see it, see it in 2D ot wait till its on tele or someone you know has bought the DVD.
